I ended up swinging by the Wendy’s near my house during my lunch break and I just saw the coolest thing ever posted on the doors. “No one under 16 can enter without being accompanied by an adult.” (Or something of that nature)
Apparently, Wendy’s and the other fast food establishments in the same plaza have had problems with young teenagers causing problems at the restaurants (disturbing customers, destroying the landscaping surrounding the restaurant). So management decided to ban anyone under 16 from the restaurant without an adult.
Total awesomeness.
Amazingly enough, there were dozens of what looked like middle schoolers walking around at noontime. On a Tuesday. These kids need to be in school. That, or at home.
To add to this, I have to blame the decadent behavior of today’s younger generation on parenting. Parenting has become a joke in modern society. No one disciplines their children and it has led to the trend where minors have no respect or consideration of other people.
