I wear eye protection when I shoot. Yet when I play racquetball, I shrug it off because I usually keep my racquet in front of my face when I look back to the ball. Well, earlier this evening I turned to look back to see where the opponent was going to hit it without putting my racquet up, and I took a ball to my right eye.
Hurt like Hell, and considering I have the synthetic lens (cataract surgery) in my right eye, it freaked me out, too.
Now I have to go see an opthamologist to ease my worries about possible lens damage because I was too stubborn to wear eye protection.
Lesson learned, I guess.

It would have just been a picture of a really red eye. My eye looks completely normal now. It still stings a little, though.
