The Mason Valley Steel Hunter (NRL Hunter Series) Match is the closest NRL Hunter match venue from where I live at only about a 2-hour drive. Thus, it makes sense to attend this match.
Leading up to the match the weather looked to be really nice with warm temps. However, the weekend forecast turned for the worst a few days prior with high winds expected.
Day 1 (03/01) ended up having 20+ mph and hour winds and Day 2 (03/02) was slightly worse with 30+ mph winds.
Day 1 consisted of 12 stages (Stages 1 through 12) and Day 2 (03/02) consisted of 8 stages (Stages 13 through 20) for a total of 20 stages.
I did not include every stage which would be a very long Range VLOG episode. I picked my best scoring stages (which there were very few) and a couple of significant ones to fill out the narrative of how my match went.
Spoiler: I did not shoot as well and I would have hoped to improve with this being my fourth NRL Hunter match. However, I had trouble finding targets in this match, including the first one. The first target indicator placards were small and blended into the terrain in many cases.
