Range Vlog #274 – 2024-08-07

I took the day off from work to try out a new rifle in the form of an Aero Precision Solus chambered in 22 GT using a Preferred Barrels shouldered prefit. I had the action since April and waited well over 12 weeks for the barrel. Thus, I was eager to see how the rifle shoots and to find out why people are making a fuss over the Solus action.

I have handled one at SHOT Show back when it debuted in 2023, but was not all that impressed by it. The Solus has become sort of a meme rifle build since it hit retailers, taking the meme spot from Bergara in my opinion.

I also took some time to put Lapua Midas+ downrange at 200 and 300 yards to get some data to true my ballistics profile with a new lot of ammunition.
