The New Belgium 2015 La Folie is a sour ale from their Lips of Faith series of beers.
This brown ale is wood-aged between 1 to 3 years in oak barrels. The color is a deep mahogany. There is a mixture of apple and cherry in the scent, and the tartness exhibits the same green apple and cherry flavors. It is actually more on the mild side with regards to the sourness, but the sourness lasts longer on the tongue between each sip.
I think this is an excellent sour for someone just discovering sour ales, but this will also appeal to the more experienced beer lover.
