Today, April 29th (2014), BJ’s Restaurants and Brewhouse tapped their newest creation, the Hoppy Scotsman.
It is a Scottish-style ale with an emphasis on hops and malt. Rated at 6.7% ABV and 45 IBU, this ale has a great balance of hoppiness and maltiness.
With the light-moderate alcohol content and low bitterness, it should be great for most beer palettes.
This is dubbed a seasonal beer, so head to your local BJ’s Restaurant as soon as you can and try out this limited brew. As many of you BJ’s regulars know, seasonal / limited BJ’s beers often tap out quickly (e.g. Field Day IPA 2012, BJ’s Double IPA), so don’t wait until the end of the week.
